The Alborosie guitar was a dream in my head until recently when I finally decided to make it real! Alborosie is an artist that I respect because he has built his fantastic musical style, over the years he has been loved by many people as a true artist, an excellence. I got to know him better when I started collaborating with his guitarist, Valter Vincenti, another great artist whose talents I admire as a musician. To make the Alborosie guitar I created an original shape starting from the legendary Les Paul by Bob Marley, a true myth of my youth! I made this instrument by creating substantial differences, not all of which are visible to the eye. The differences I am talking about are in the woods, in the shape of the headstock, in the slightly retouched body and in the pickups (alnico 2 at the neck and alnico 5 at the bridge) which are built from my recipe, the best I have ever invented. For the wood I have chosen a type of African mahogany, Oukume ', which is water repellent and a really light weightt. It is no coincidence that it is used for boating. The resonance of this wood has amazed me over time, I have built various guitars with this wood and every time a fantastic instrument has come out, with a sound between traditional mahogany (Sapele or Honduras) and Alder. My pickups paired with this wood have fantastic response, great sustain and a strong sound. Combined with the maple of the neck and the rosewood of the fingerboard (with a 25.5 “and 16” radius scale) the sound is enriched with harmonics and becomes warm and defined. The pickups are built with a less resistive wire to raise the merit factor, the result is even more definition and a very well focused tone. As hardware we have chosen the best in circulation; from the Grover mechanics to the Gotoh bridge, nothing is left to chance. The paint is nitro, which helps the resonance of the wood.
